I’m not artistic at all but I appreciate those that are talented. Today I visited the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY and was simply amazed at the quilts on display. Believe it or not, this is a picture of a quilt. Wow, what talent.
This sign explains Paducah history in just a few sentences also. It's right before the Illinois border so stop by if your passing near by.  Kirchhoff's is the best place to eat.

Paducah is located halfway between Nashville and St. Louis in southwestern Kentucky. Fly to Paducah's Barkley Regional Airport, which has daily non-stop flights to and from Chicago O'Hare, or fly to Nashville International Airport and drive 2 hours to reach Paducah. The city’s riverfront downtown can easily be explored on foot. Alternatively, catch the trolleybus between April and September. Visit at any time of the year or plan to be in the city for the AQS QuiltWeek events in April.

Everything was great. Unexpected dinner and adult beverages in the evening, really good breakfast and a very comfortable bed. Only annoyance was only one extremely slow elevator. We'll ask for the ground floor next time.
