The restaurant is exceptionally good - way above the general standard of freezer to microwave meals you encounter so often.」
「This was just an overnight after driving up from Dornoch and getting on the ferry to Orkney at Gills Bay the next morning. However Eilean and Graeme greeted us in the parking area and helped us move into our room. Provided us with lots of info on their property and where to eat. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast in the morning had lots of variety and our choices were delicious. 」
「This was a favorite place on our travels throughout Scotland. In a peaceful setting, everything was lovely and immaculately cared for, with many extra nice and small touches. Jane and Richard were excellent hosts, welcoming us warmly, sharing helpful suggestions, and providing a wonderful breakfast with homemade bread. This was a great stay and highly recommend! 」
「Pros: Friendly staff. Fantastic English breakfast. Great location, walking distance from the ferry terminal and all stores near the Stronmess waterfront. Even without an elevator, the parking location made it easy to access the room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Showers had nice high water pressure that gave a massage feeling.
Cons: The building is historic, so the floors had older carpet. Newer flooring, e.g. newer carpet or luxury vinyl plank could improve the stay experience.
