I really liked The Pentland. Lovely old school hotel, with great character and a great old school fried breakfast buffet. The bed was extremely comfortable. Only complaint is that neither of the tellys in our two bedrooms worked.

Hotel check in was friendly, was asked if wanted quiet room but ended outside main road! Room was big as had an extra bed in. Off white bed covers was a bit odd but clean, windows werent the best as couldnt see out due to marks or condensation. Bathroom was OK. Breakfast was simple but nice. Hotel is next to a pub so had dinner there with was good

Good old-style hotel, very pleasant. Slept well, the family room was decent and quiet. Breakfast good, just a bit of bad luck as two tour groups flooded the room same time as us. Location very central, and we had no issue to park right in front.
