"Limited options in the area. Enjoyed the charm of this little place, retired train car as the lobby, even if it was dated. Room was clean except for a used soap bar left in the shower. Internet and satellite TV were a bit spotty. Although that's not what we visited for, it's nice to unwind after long days in the park. Staff provided a few recommendations for the area that were well received."

"There was no staff on site but there was a phone number to call if we had any questions. There was an envelope left in their mailbox with instructions and a key for the cabin. One evening my granddaughter was taking a shower and the water was cold. Also one evening when I was in the shower, it was luke warm and not hot enough. My showers are always less than 10 minutes The cabin was very clean but there were no cups to use for drinking. We did enjoy the location. Thank you"

"Absolutely wonderful accommodation. Right at the edge of a lake, with canoes/kayaks and fire pit by the water. Great continental breakfast provided in our room. Microwave, dishes, etc. Friendly staff and COMFORTABLE beds. Great water pressure in the shower. Located near Healy and Denali National Park - close enough, but still quiet. And several nights in a row, from one to six moose would casually wander across the shore - LITERALLY within 100 feet of us. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

"The Gnome Home is a cute and quirky place to stay near Denali National Park with privacy and modern plumbing! The hosts are super responsive and the check in process was easy peasy. It features a king bed, large loft bed and extra twin (although that one does share space with the laundry room!) there’s a LAUNDRY ROOM!!! Perfect for a couple or family with a few kids. Has a regular refrigerator, large kitchen sink, hotplate, microwave, coffeemaker, outside grill. The bathroom is a bit awkward , but the water pressure is FAB! We had a terrific stay."
