"I stayed at the Aurora Denali Lodge for business in the middle of winter (December). The staff was courteous and clear with instructions. The room was clean and spacious. There weren't a lot of dining options, but the room had a fridge and microwave so I could get meals from the grocery store and prepare them in the room. They even have power outlets in the parking lot to plug in the engine heaters for the -20 degree overnight temperatures. Even in that cold, the room temperature was pleasant. Overall, the perfect place for me to stay for this trip. "
"This place was magnificent. It may not be for everyone during the winter, but it was absolutely PERFECT for me. I traveled solo & stayed two nights. Easy self check-in. Owner was easy to contact and very nice to speak with. Lovely lobby with coffee, tea & water. I stayed in the MoonDream room which was facing the lake. I arrived to lots of fresh fruit, drinks and other snacks. Everything was clean and tidy & the view was spectacular. Full disclosure, there ate only two options open in the winter for food plus a small grocery store. The locals at the Totem Restaurant said the town is completely different in the summer. All the stores are open, etc. I am definitely planning on returning. Not it will be in the summer because I enjoyed the peace & quiet so much."
"Earthsong Lodge is located in a beautiful place. It was far from the crowds and quiet. It was easy to get to, and the cabin was awesome and comfortable. It was great to meet the Manager and Owner. I also found out I was the last guest of the season. My stay here in my first trip to Alaska was terrific! Thank you, Earthsong Lodge!"
"Pros: About 8 miles from the Denali National Park entrance. Room was small, but clean. A plug in heater was provided. There's also a plug in fan. There is a min-refrigerator in the room. There were extra blankets if needed. Hair dryer is provided. There was a bottle of something on the wall of the shower - not sure if it was soap, shampoo, or a combination. Check-in and check-out was easy and quick.
Cons: The shower is tight and it took a while for the water to get hot. I recommend turning on the water and letting it run before stepping into the shower as there isn't any room to stand without the water hitting you and it would be freezing. You make your own beds. Could hear the highway traffic all night, so if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. I could still hear the traffic even with wearing ear plugs. "
"Cabin was very clean and view was beautiful. Bathroom was pretty clean too, bring toilet paper. Only down side was that this is not a cabin by its self - there are two cabins and multiple other structures not pictured. The other cabin was also rented with a couple and a dog and was fairly close to ours. We didn’t have issue though and this still felt very private overall! But I would prepare to not be alone if you stay. "
