"Stayed on a solo trip for 4 nights, and could not be happier with the hotel. The location is excellent for getting around with a subway station right across from the street, and a family mart convenience store as across the street as well. The staff was efficient and friendly and genuinely helpful. As for the room, while some reviews complain about the size, I loved it. Everything is laid out in a well thought out manner to be as comfortable and convenient as possible in the limited space....

"The basic rooms are small but the property is centrally located in Tokyo and very close to the Higashishinjuku-shinjuku subway station. The breakfast (in the attached Royal Host restaurant) is a little chaotic. If you eat breakfast later rather than earlier, they run out of items like bread and milk. They replenish some of those items, like milk, but not others. There is a good coffee machine, many juices, cold and cold teas, as well as a few breakfast items from which to choose."

I see a lot of reviews saying they didnt feel "safe" and there were weird men hanging around... well not in the hotel - but the hotel is on the edge of the red light district - so the men are just doing their business asking other men to enter for their girls. I felt safe and was never approached aggressively. "
