Despite checking in online earlier that morning and advising of expected arrival time, I didn't receive the code for the lock box and all attempts at contacting the host failed, no response to phone calls or text messages, in fact the host declined my calls on numerous occasions. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED that this host left a solo female traveler stood outside in the rain and in the dark for over an hour...

「Loved our stay. Our first family trip away with our 10 week old baby and even she loved it. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The only slight downfall was the Wi-Fi connection. It was quite hard to connect to and very slow. Being in an area with poor reception for data, the Wi-Fi was definitely needed but we both struggled to get any use out of it. Amazing place though, would recommend. 」

「I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

「As a family group of 10, we found the space to be just what was needed. The 4 children were able to have their own space separate from parents. Too little time prevented any significant hikes, but we enjoyed walks through town and along the Derwentwater shore.」

「Overall great. Ray and Margaret showed us round the apartment and made sure we knew how everything worked. Very good information pack provided. Access to apartment is via an outside metal fire escape style staircase which was slippery when wet. Bedrooms and bathroom have sky lights only and to see the best view from lounge requires you to stand at the window due to the height. It would be a great addition if if there was decking or balcony to use from the patio doors in the lounge.」

「The appartment was gorgeous. Very clean and well equiped. Easy short walk to local restaurants/pubs and a nice walk to a waterfall leaving from behind the appartment. We would defintrly reccomend and hope to go again next year.」

「Stayed for one night, on our way back down from Scotland. Had a lovely time here, and wished we could have stayed longer. Arrived around 6pm, very easy parking and checking in to our room. Then had a lovely meal downstairs in the Penny Blue restaurant attached to the hotel. Food was served very quickly, and the staff were attentive. The room itself was excellent, very spacious with a comfortable bed. It did get a little warm in the night for our taste, but they had a fan available which...
