「Great location, excellent food, great staff」

「We loved the hotel so much! The bar and restaurant provided nice food and very friendly service. The staff at the reception is kind, welcoming. All people there make us happy. One thing, the double bed in room 17 is squeaky. The mattress is good! Bathroom is very clean! Thank you very much, we’ll come again definitely.」

「We stayed 2 nights with breakfast, a Friday and Saturday. It was a family stay as we were attending a wedding locally. We reserved 2 rooms. Both were clean, tastefully decorated and had small en-suites, one with a bath and the other a shower. The rooms were very warm. There was no air con but we opened a window and a fan was provided. Clean and tidy room with spacious bathroom. Meals were excellent. Chefs are first class and every meal cooked to perfection. Quality food. A hearty breakfast provided a great start to our days. 「The Bowes Hotel is a lovely hotel and pub in a small village near Hadrian's Wall. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean, fresh, and renovated within last 5 years. My friend stated if she could pack the bathroom in her suitcase and take it home she would! And, we had a lovely view of their garden. Would definitely stay there again. 」
