"Friendly staff. Convenient, walkable location. Tasty breakfast. Recently updated rooms. Definitely needed AC in the summer or a fan - it was hot. At least the windows opened. It was manageable at night but miserable later afternoon / evening granted it was the height of summer."

I loved Alesund, when we were eating dinner a marching band marched and played its way down the street, it must be a fabulous community.

They are doing construction on the tunnel to get to Alesund (from the airport). Make sure you leave early for your flight to compensate for the possible long wait that you might have just to get thru the tunnel.

We did the Sukkertoppen hike, and I would recommend that as a fun way to get into nature and see the city.
