Great location steps from the train station. 5 dtqr breakfast and restaurant in lobby. Rooms might be a bit small but very nice. Great vibe w historical significance highlighted. (Old Norwegian-American cruise line office building)

Breakfast buffet has to be one of the best I have ever had at any hotel. Wide selection of warm food and cold cuts, granola and yoghurt, juices and salad, pancakes and omelette, jams and spreads and pastries.

The Karl Johan hotel is simply outstanding—great accommodations, nice and friendly staff, and superb breakfast.

Clean room, Malissa front desk is so helpful and accommodating. So convenient, close to Oslo Central Station, lot of restaurants around. Our room was quiet and comfortable beds. Great breakfast included with our room. Love everything. Thank you 😊 🙏

Great location, great communication.

We had booked and paid in full 6 months in advance and were told a few days prior our booking that the amenities (pool, sauna, steam room and parts of the gym) were closed for refurbishment. Not only the hotel did not answer our messages regarding a potential compensation or partial refund, they could only gave us a room upgrade when checking- in a reception. Although we appreciated the gesture, it was a small compensation considering we specifically booked the hotel for the amenities and were only told about the closure 3 days prior.... That being said, they have, by far, the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen and the staff was very friendly.
