I’ve stayed at many Doubletree hotels in the past, and I was a little disappointed this time. First of all, the signature cookies we got when we checked in were warm, but way overcooked and hard as rocks. The layout of the room was a little odd as well, with a lot of wasted space in the middle and not very many areas to sit down in. Although the coffee maker was there, and functional, the cord was not long enough to reach the outlet, and so it had to be placed on the floor to be able to plug it in and use it. There was no hairdryer in the room, although they did bring us one when we asked, and when they cleaned our room the first night, they did not give us any new washcloths. Again, they did bring us some when I called, but I had to call to get them. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and helpful.

Novel experience, every detail is thoughtful. Populus is a gem. I didn’t appreciate being forced to pre-purchase my choice between $69 for breakfast or $60 for parking. I didn’t want or need either.

Great historic hotel. Very clean room overlooking the station platforms. Great location.

I am very disappointed. First, Expedia doesn’t tell you about the deposit you have to cough up before you have paid for the room in full. It has been 7 days and I STILL haven’t received my deposit back! The people at the Hyatt assured me,upon check out, that it should only take 1-3 days! That money was for other things and ruined them. Of course had I known about it I wouldn’t have booked my stay there in the first place! Also, the parking garage, attached to the hotel, is not explained at check in. So be prepared to deal with an unmanned 3rd party company who will only let you out of the garage if you pay or can insert the room key OR if you pay OR cause a fuss! No explaining of how to exit the garage or questions about where you parked…providing them with ample opportunity to make sure you are aware of their parking garage rules, or costs associated with visitors etc. I’m 61 years old and don’t, actually CAN’T, read the fine print! I’m sure I’m not alone on that!

Really a perfect location, walking distance from food & convenience stores. The 24 hour coffee was great & breakfast was always good. The self-checkout store in the lobby was also very clutch for snacks & drinks.

The breakfast was longer than I thought it would be and they have good options.
