Would not stay again

Absolutely loved our stay here - rooms were big, beautiful and clean. Pool was amazing and overlooks the beach with the most stunning of sunsets. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Great location to explore the area

3-star hotel at most. Check-in was a chaos - there are only 2 computers and it sounded like agents were trying to sell tours, making others wait for a long time. The other “non-front desk” computers started checking people in who arrived after me. I asked twice if I those are for check in and was told no and wait here. Room: stains on the top bed blanket. Bed was missing 1 night stand, there was just empty space with a bunch of outlets and switches on the wall. Dried out sneeze/snot on TV. Towels were used up and now grey (not white). I could overlook all of this for 1 night. Pool has only 8 lounge chairs for 200+ rooms - unusable, unless you want to lay on bare wood deck and allow people to walk over you. The most frustrating thing was front desk telling me that I have to pay 100,000 IDR ($5.5) for a lost plastic key. 100K can buy you a lavish dinner in Indonesia. That was insane. 10/10 DO NOT reccommend. The cost of the room was around $160 for the night but there is no 5-star service or amenities at all!!!

Great location to explore the area

I stayed for a few days of quiet and beach time. I especially wanted to be on East Coast Sumba because of the sunrise. very morning I walked along the quiet beach alone to watch the night turn into day and view the sunrise. The actual point of sunrise alas, had moved over too far to view, but I still love the beach from night to day. and I love it alone. So I got what I wanted. The staff were stellar. Very attentive. Available and courteous. Yet they leave you alone if that is what you want. They went out of their way with hospitality and friendliness. That alone is worth five star recommendations. The food was fresh and well presented. The spot is isolated so be prepared to stay in and enjoy the beach. It is well maintained and clean. The water is warm and clear.
