South Korea Historic Vacations

A great location, especially if you are looking for local places to eat and shop, as well as near beautiful temples. Near transit stations to make it easy to visit other places in the city. The hotel does not offer some basic amenities, like an ice machine or additional pillows. We never got the a/c working, though it seems like the only option was "fan" which did not cool the room (we needed up cracking open the window). The room's bathroom also was fairly basic as well. It's a good spot to begin exploring a very popular area of the city with easy access to transit, but the hotel itself is not at the level of comfort one would prefer after walking and travelling for very long days.

Expedia double booked me here and they refused a refund on 1 of the 2 rooms I had booked but Expedia refunded me as it appeared to be their fault. And airport limousine bus for only 17000 Won drops you off right in front of the building. A Canadian man checked me in and was awesome at explaining everything and pointers on food and activities. Room itself is nice and big with 2 king beds. I was by myself but like the extra space. Bed was comfy. I love having a fridge but this had 2 dead drain flies in it but kept everything nice and cold. Did not use anything else except microwave. Plenty of hot water but the bathroom! The shower drain is not in the shower but in front of the toilet. I asked if this was normal in Korea but they never answered. So, they provide slipper things to walk on, no shoes allowed, and shower shoes. The entire bathroom gets flooded after each use. Again, normal? I should have notified them earlier about the drain fly problem but they really don’t bother you too much but it got worse near the end of my stay. Anyway, loved the fact that the bus drops u off in front and the return bus is a stop about 5 minute walk. The area is quiet and nice. It had plenty of places to eat but I ordered food delivery every night as I had excursions every day for 10-13 hours and was back late every night and had no energy to go out! Weather in May was HOT. Be prepared! Plenty to do in and around Seoul and actually had a great time and hopefully will go back sometime.

Pretty good deal for a hotel near shopping area. The reception staffs were all awesome in particular, Sue and another female counter staff who did my initial checkin, for remembering my request.

Just about 5-10 min walk to metro. Clean and laundry available on site. Safe and not noisy. Room was small but we didnt spend much time hanging in room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall, it's good for the price. I just did not excpect the room to be so small.

The location is the only good thing about this hotel. Room is small, suitcases have to be closed and in standing position whole time in order for us to move around. we stayed at first floor and the room is very humid, we never feel the comforters are dry. Terrible feeling. Can’t open the window as there’s no window screen. Opened once and mosquito got in. Only one layer light-blocking curtain, can only choose between dark room or no privacy at day time. Once showered the entire washroom floor got wet. The Chinese staff was the only one we felt welcoming, the rest never said hi, we tried to say hi but they never even looked at us. No direct communication. Luckily we’re out most of the day time. Not recommended.
