The hotel is not very fancy but it is in a good location to see fisherman's wharf. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is very well prepared and done very well from a logistics standpoint. I would recommend this hotel.

We had a world class experience at the Bower Hotel. Noah, the front desk gentleman was so helpful. He immediately set us up with two electric bikes, which were complementary. The general manager, Sean Murphy was also very professional. There is an adorable rooftop bar called the Dive, which had great drinks and a great vibe. Although we did not eat there, the food looked delicious, especially the hamburgers. All of the staff, at the dive, we’re friendly and welcoming Our room was very contemporary and comfy. We especially liked the high-end Dyson hair blower. That was a great perk!! We can highly recommend the Bauer boutique hotel for your stay in Coronado!!

This hotel could be great if it were properly staffed with a high end hospitality background and about 10-20 more staff overall (servers, valet, bellmen, front desk, maintenance, pool, etc). The food is good, especially the fish tacos and Lobster roll, but the amount of time it took the kitchen to prepare meals at both the Sandpiper and for in-room dining was astonishing. My kids were falling asleep by the time room service would arrive at our room and with incorrect orders. The beds/pillows/bedding are nice but the layout of the staircases to/from each floor is utterly bizarre and because we had an Ocean cows room, the cars, sirens, and honking on Ocean Ave did not make for an ideal way to wake up.

Wow! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Grove! The location was absolutely perfect. Very walkable and public transit near the hotel takes you to many main attractions. The location is convenient. The neighborhood is charming. The hotel is authentic to San Francisco. And the rooms were pristine clean. We actually live - hour away but decided to do a short day trip, and staying here and the surrounding areas gave us a totally different view of San Francisco (in the best way possible!). There are delicious and enjoyable shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and activities nearby including Fillmore Jazz Distric and Japantown (among others). There are a handful of beautiful parks with stunning views only a short distance away. Street parking is available, but can be tough to find and has restrictions during the week (but we are familiar with SF so were prepared). The rooms were very clean and the hotel was quiet and quaint. If I ever come back for a stay, I will hands down stay here again.
