Roundtrip non-stop flight included

8.4/10 Very Good! (1,260 reviews)
Our stay was alright - check in took a while. The room wasn’t ready until an hour and twenty minutes after the scheduled check in time.
Staff was very friendly, may be helpful to have another staff member at the front desk (they’re working very hard but having another staffer there may help with the long wait times for check in).
The pullout bed in the room had not been changed, the sheets had stains on them and were just rolled up in a ball from the last use or uses.
Shower had several empty shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles.

I really, really wanted to like this hotel. We had been watching YouTube videos about Yotel for months and were excited to stay here. It was a little disappointing.
We knew it would be small. That was not a problem. We were prepared for that and the room had enough places to store stuff if you are a light packer. There were 3 of us - me, my husband, and our teen kid, and we had plenty of space. My husband uses an electric wheelchair and we didn't have to fold it up to have enough room.
The hotel is in an extremely convenient location and is priced reasonably for the location. We could either walk or hop on a nearby bus to get pretty much everywhere we needed to go. This was our first time in NYC and we were able to navigate easily. There were lots of nearby restaurants with plenty of different options for anybody.
We booked the triple premium room - with a loft bed over a queen bed with the adjustable head of bed. My teen loved the loft. However, when we arrived, there was no blanket, just a sheet and pillow. We had to ask for one and got one of those rough, wool-like blankets instead of a duvet.
The only day anyone came to clean the room or empty the trash was our last day there. The reading light in the loft appeared to have been pulled out of the wall. The light in the bathroom didn't work. The whole place was just a little shabby and run-down, going against the whole "living in the future" vibe they are trying to go for.

Tokyo (NRT) to New York (JFK)
8/10 Very Good! (1,991 reviews)
The hotel is located about 15 minute walk to timea square and a couple of blocks away from closest bus. We werent aware of the works going on at the hotel and were suprised to find no outdoor seating and the outdoor area covered in scaffolding, additionally there were workmen going up and down past our window doing repairs that started quite early in the morning.
The room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed, aircon worked perfectly and there were coffee making facilities. The fridge did work but only kept things cool rather than cold.
However the thing that ruined our stay was breakfast. There were far too many people and not enough seating or food. We tried at several different times but it was still unpleasant. Food ran out as quickly as it was bought out and it was impossible to move around safely and comfortably.
Pros- location, room space, aircon and general cleanliness of hotel. Local shops for food, drinks and bars etc.
Cons- breakfast was over crowded, disorganised and not enough food or coffee. Lifts during breakfast. No warning of works at the hotel. Reception had 1 small sofa so not ideal when waiting for cabs etc.
