Very peaceful and quiet breakfast was great

We really enjoyed our stay at the Outrigger in Kona. We stayed in an Ocean View Room for four nights. The lanai was large with a table. The rooms were clean and spacious. We loved the pool with the Ocean View and the slide. The store/coffee shop onsite was helpful. We ate at the restaurant for our anniversary dinner. The food was a little on the expensive side but was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean condo. Six of us had plenty of room. 3 adults, 3 teenagers. Excellent value for 3 bd 3 bath. Kitchen was equipped but not chef level but we prepared only simple breakfast food and ate out mostly. About 12-15 minutes walk to beach but beach parking is plentiful. I would recommend to families or couples.

Fantastic experience staying at the Kona Village Resort. Staff's attention to detail was phenomenal. The atmosphere was like Paradise. Food was delicious, too. Everything you could want in a special vacation.

Stunningly well designed and maintained. Super relaxing. Extraordinary helpful and kind staff. Ridiculously good food. For us it was truly worth the marginal extra cost. When we went, it wasn't *that* much more expensive than the other properties but is by far the nicest. Nice snorkeling right off their beach which is one of the only sand beaches around. A large family pool and a very nice adult pool. Excellent rooms. Just beautiful.

The check in process was very easy, even for late check in. The property was beautiful. We had an ocean view. There was construction going on in other parts of the complex, but did not bother us. They offered beach chairs and pool noodles for the nice pool. Had the pool to ourselves most times. Loved to be able to walk out and see the sunset every night. The room was nice. Loved having laundry and a full sized fridge. The fridge had some rust and the pull out bed had some kind of sand or something on it, but we just used one of our sheets to cover over it. The staff was very friendly. We loved the location. Just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in town. Overall we had a great experience!

This place was awesome, it’s right on the beach and we saw eels, crabs, and fish playing in the reef below. Perfect viewing for sunsets as well. Check in and out was a breeze. Having the full kitchen is nice so we could cook breakfast before we went out and explored. Having the beach towels, coolers, and chairs already at the place really helped when packing for the trip. The place is beautiful surrounded with amazing plants all around. Perfect place to stay in Hawaii.

As advertised, the staff is exemplary! All you need to do is ask and a member of the staff will fulfill your request quickly. We had a problem with our TV and they replaced the entire TV in about 15 minutes. The staff has a sense of pride when it comes to making sure everything works at Mauna Kea and that all of your needs are met! Our room was meticulously cleaned daily and again, you can ask housekeeping for anything and they will respond to the request promptly. You won't find a better beach than the one at Mauna Kea Beach. It's an all sand beach as far as you can walk out into the ocean. I highly recommend the Mauna Kea Beach hotel and will return there in the future.
