Piers Island Cheap Vacations

The place was well maintained, staff was very helpful for my questions about anything in the hotel.

Good location but unfortunate they don’t prioritize hygiene… Overall the hotel is nice and is in a convenient location that is very walkable. Room and bathroom are both spacious. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t cleaned after being out all day from 8:30 until after 3pm, and was only cleaned after asking reception about it. Even then, wasn’t very thoroughly cleaned; they didn’t replace any towels, water, Kleenex or even take out the garbage. No evening turn down service either. Surprising housekeeping practices considering they are one of the “leading hotels of the world” and “luxury”. Felt overpriced for bare minimum service. Disappointing experience.

Staff were welcoming and accommodating as always. Home away from home and they make it feel that way every time. Pampered!

The property was very clean but we did have trouble with the cooling system and reaching a comfortable temperature for our preference. The host was extremely nice and quick to respond. We did need cream and sugar for our coffee, and perhaps more coffee had we had cream and sugar but the host did offer to reimburse us if we purchased any. We didn’t because once we were out we just found coffee. We did have difficulty finding a breakfast spot for earlier on Sunday morning. Thankfully, our host gave us a later check out so we had time to walk several blocks and search out a breakfast spot and then return for our luggage before heading out for our cruise ship.

Great location. Excellent bars and restaurants in vacinity and particularly good getting to the airport as the Metro is literally over the road. Staff were excellent. They were particularly helpful allowing me to have a later checkout which meant that I could shower after my last morning in Vancouver before leaving for the airport.
