The major issue was the flight delay. Causing an arrival a little after midnight and nobody in the lobby and nobody answering the phone, both via cell and the wall intercom.
Stood in that dark alley alone for almost 15 minutes when a resident showed up, let me in, and found the lobby person to get me checked in and a key to the room.
I felt pretty exposed standing there alone in that alley with 2 bags in the dark and nobody around.
