The hotel was a bit used up. A good updating would make this hotel in such a lovely area a great place to stay.

The 2 bedroom villa we got was right on the beach and extremely comfortable! Plataran prides itself for old world luxury and it never fails to deliver! We were thoroughly spoilt by the Plataran team and can’t wait to go back!

Special place on Sereya. The staff here were superb. Puk Alfonso at the bar was excellent and made great cocktails and always served with a smile. Grace in the restaurant was also great. An injury was treated effectively and quickly by staff Jeffrey and Richard. Great service all round. Beach is great and having bangalows right on the beach is a real nice. A top stay for 4 days

Our room was cleaned twice a day. Staff was always nice and friendly. The resort is quiet, well maintained, and lovely with an open beach to watch sunsets. Buffet breakfast offer lots of options including native food dishes and an omelette station every morning. There is also a swimming up bar at the pool that serve good cocktail drinks. I would stay there again.

It would have been great had the room been ready upon our arrival. (We were early but expected by the hotel.) Unfortunately I picked up some 'bug' and was running hot. That was compounded by having to wait in the heat for our room. By the time the room was ready, my fever combined with the heat and high humidity resulted in a minor medical emergency for me. The staff were fantastic, and got me to my room where I immediately cooled down and became coherent again. This was absolutely NOT the fault of the hotel, and every worker attended to my needs to ensure I was okay. So kudos to them. However, had the room been ready, this could have been avoided. It was my fault for not recognizing what was happening to me, and then pushing for the room earlier. I'm sure they would have accommodated me, had they known. Once again, the staff were very professional in a situation I (and likely they) had never before experienced. :)

What a great resort! Not only is the view specular from the balconies but the rooms are also amazing with great facilities and thought-out layout. Buffet breakfast was massive with so many options from hot to cold, including pancake and egg station. Gym onsite, 2 restaurant/bar options, multiple levels to sit and chill including the wharf Pool. Staff is friendly and inviting

If you’re looking for total relaxation, Menjaga Bay is perfection. This was the most relaxed and beautiful holiday I could have asked for. The staff are absolutely wonderful. I stayed with my young daughter and we already miss the staff’s kindness and smiling faces. I used the spa daily (massage) and of all the hotels I stayed at in Indonesia, these ladies were the absolute best! Every different therapist gave a consistent and completely body melting massage. I think I healed from years of stress here. Management is superb, and the food is delicious. We stayed for 7 days and never tired of the menu.
