Extremely relaxing and the staff was 10/10

This is my second time staying at this resort while visiting Ubud. Can’t express how amazing my stay was. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. They also remembered me and my family. It truly feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this property, with wonderful, spacious villas nestled amongst rice fields. The property was incredibly peaceful right outside the main part of Ubud. The service was excellent, and the hot air balloon ride was an unexpected treat.

Beautiful hotel. Staff were fantastic, the afternoon tea offer was really enjoyable and the villa’s were immaculate. Would highly recommend and stay again

The best part of this property is by far the staff. They are so friendly and helpful. Arjawa the bellman explained everything i needed to know about the hotel and the amenities from what time breakfast to how many times they clean the rooms. Pebri, Agung and Komang who were my servers at Brasserie restaurant were amazing always smiling and making sure I was doing great. Sumi was the supervisor at Brasserie and always greated me with a smile and also went out of her to make sure I was well taken care of. At the Bamboo bar I was well taken care of by Putra the bartender there. Amazing drinks amazing service. And Wirta also made sure I was great bringing me towels and always greeting me by name. The food was great at Brasserie I ate there 3 times a day if that tells you anything. So if ever you are in Ubud and want a luxurious place to stay and great staff to treat you amazing I would highly recommend The Alaya Resort.

Wapa undoubtedly has a cult-like following. I have visited Ubud multiple times, read countless glowing reviews, and decided that on this trip I would experience what I now call the "Wapa Effect" for myself. With two locations—one in Ubud and another in Sidemen, which I plan to visit in a few weeks—I was eager to see whether the reputation lived up to the hype. It absolutely did. I was fortunate enough to stay during their twice-a-year Charity Auction Dinner, which was an incredible experience in itself and a perfect introduction to the heart and soul of Wapa. What became immediately clear is that the highly trained staff truly understands the art of hospitality. This is the reason behind the property's loyal following and why so many guests return again and again. Their ability to remember guests by name, anticipate needs, and remain consistently attentive without ever being intrusive is a rare skill. More importantly, every interaction feels genuine. Whether you are staying in a standard room or a luxury villa, the staff has a remarkable ability to make every guest feel special, valued, and appreciated. They create an atmosphere where everyone feels like a VIP. As someone who has traveled extensively around the world, I understand the difference between good service and exceptional hospitality. Wapa belongs firmly in the latter category.
