While the property was maintained, it clearly showed its age, and the aging infrastructure led to persistent issues. As someone with plumbing experience, the repair process was particularly frustrating; we dealt with leaks/repairs almost daily, yet staff was unqualified to address them. For example I reported a leaking bathtub only for them to replace a toilet valve—a completely unrelated fix. This lack of technical expertise, compounded by a tough language barrier, meant that problems were rarely solved correctly. Furthermore, while the pools were solid, they needed more frequent cleaning, and the trolley system was inefficient due to excessive wait times. Service was also inconsistent, as the abrasive attitude of the front desk staff felt out of place compared to the hospitality found across the resort. The dining experience was a mixed bag, though it contained the highlight of our trip. The buffet was a 6.5/10, suffering from repetition and a lack of high-quality variety. As for the restaraunts the only poor experience was the Greek. Additionally, the snack areas offered very little for those with dietary restrictions. However, the resort excelled in its care for Celiacs. With two Celiacs in our party, the staff’s accommodation was at a minimum 9/10. Every chef was willing to speak with us and prepare dedicated gluten-free meals, providing immense peace of mind. Combined with the fantastic beach, the resort is a strong choice if it can improve maintenance.

Depends what you are after. The resort is really big. Nice pools lots of options for sure. Water park was great. No complaints really. I do personally like a slightly smaller resort. That’s just my personal preference. But everything was very clean and staff was great. My one BIG complaint was getting forced into a breakfast meeting that took 2 hours, trying to get sold on being a member. Absolutely hated that and would also my make me not go back.

This is my second visit to the Bahia Luxury Barn Resort. I come back again and again because it is a truly wonderful resort. My review is a genuine review from someone who brings his family again and again for the best vacation. Almost everything is perfect here: 1. The food is delicious and varied. 2. Only for adults, no screaming children or barking dogs. 3. Perfect cleanliness everywhere (separate workers sweep the sand on the sidewalk (even from your feet when you are lying on the sun loungers), clean the faucets until they shine, trim the bushes, comb the grass and sand). 4. Security along the perimeter and inside. 5. The buildings are restored and well-maintained, the floors shine like a mirror. 6. The pool is perfect. 7. The bars and drinks in them are excellent. 7. The entertainment team is beyond praise. Respect them. They are true professionals. 8. Games, concerts, and parties are held every day, and no one is disturbed; everything is very harmonious. 9. The beach is cleared of algae by a tractor every day, and then by hand all day long. The entire staff is very hardworking and friendly. Now a few words about the negative aspects that the management needs to correct. 1. All the sun loungers on the beach are occupied by towels or personal belongings, although the beach is practically empty, there are no vacationers. This is because people arrive at night and reserve sun loungers for the whole day, only to return after lunch for half an hour.

Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean and comfortable, out butler, Alexander Rijo was amazing.

We could hear animals or bugs at night in our vents near the door. Cockroach seen at lounge bar and one in our bathroom. Some staff were friendly, some don’t even make eye contact, will only attend to you if you tip first! Spent most of the week trying to find out where everything was, had to use cellphone too much for restaurants and information. Overall, would not go back.
