If you're looking at this hotel, go ahead and book it! Not only is it luxurious and friendly, but you'll find at least 5 taxis by it at any time (a definite plus when certain Metro lines are being repaired). Added bonus: the signature house fragrance is unspeakably delicious. You will love your stay here!

Staff was extremely pleasant a d knowledgeable about local restaurants.

I realize it’s not The Four Seasons, but there is a certain expectation that gets set when one is paying over $350 a night for a hotel room. This hotel did not meet it and it was the only time I have ever asked for a different room (and I have traveled a LOT). I was given a large dark corner room (it had only one tiny window), which might not have been as much of a problem, except that all of the lamps in my room flickered eerily. The air-conditioner was not working properly - it took three hours to cool the room 3° and sadly smelled faintly of onions (typical of mold in an hvac). The tub faucet was pulling out of the wall and there was peeling paint and wallpaper in a number of corners of the room and bathroom. I could also feel the springs in the mattress. Honest to Pete, it was like a bad movie. A local shopkeeper I was chatting with told me the room might’ve been haunted lol. On a positive note, I received excellent service from all of the staff at the hotel who really went out of their way to help me. Also housekeeping did a very good job cleaning the rooms. It is certainly a great location, but it is a shame to see such a beautiful building being poorly cared for (the hallways weren’t bad but the elevators were in poor condition). It is likely I would only return to the hotel as a last resort.

Very pleased with my stay. Worth every penny and the location is amazing

My friend and I stayed here as a weekend getaway. It was absolutely perfect. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. We did have an issue with valet but they corrected it immediately and gave us a discount on the cost. The hotel is stunning, lives up to all the hype.

Our fridge wasn't working. I texted the friendly front desk and it was replaced with a working one within five minutes. The happy hour was fun and free coffee always makes me happy. The building had so much character. Would definitely recommend. So easy to get around the city from this fabulous hub.

Location is great, our corner room was great, spacious, large bathroom, dinner and breakfast was excellent, valet parking was also great, convenient, our vehicle was ready within minutes when needed. We enjoyed our 2 days there and will return often.

Beautiful classic old hotel …

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff! Great location and the Quill bar was exceptional. Only complaints are the size of the bathrooms and lack of bathroom amenities.
