Staff were friendly and room was lovely

Consistently good stay when visiting daughters at Uni. Hotels seems to have done a make over in parts and is in need of basic maintenance in other parts. Lobby, bar, restaurant all new and nicely designed. Rooms a bit tired with failing window catches, bathroom handle, shower caulk, shower drainage and toilet movement and creaking in our room. Floors also very creaky which must annoy people downstairs. Late night fire alarm on first 2 days 3am and 11pm with no explanation or apology. We will come back but I hope they sweat the details. I gave in person feedback on day 2 that the music seems to always be the Michael Jackson playlist. The same playlist continued for the rest of the visit.

Loved this hotel! The location was perfect for our adventure. Right across from the Scott monument, a few minutes walk from the Waverly bus stop and a few minutes from the Royal mile. We didn’t have any views personally, but the rooms were clean and exactly as advertised. Breakfast options were delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Our room was very clean and nice. The staff was friendly. The main restaurant and bar is beautiful but we were very disappointed that it was closed for a private event one of the nights that we stayed there. They had a small bar open for us but it just was not the same. The person attending the bar was not a bartender and had to seek advice at the main bar for assistance. The prices of drinks should reflect the lower quality of ambiance. We would expect coffee and tea to be available complimentary at the cost we were paying for the rooms but you had to buy it at the bar. All in all, for the most part, we really liked this hotel. We just thought it was overpriced for what you got.

Nice lodge and fantastic staff. I must have booked us into the house across the street which was a slightly different experience and our particular room was very lacking in terms of amenities, size, and washroom standards.

Old building with hip, hostel-like decor. Only two rooms on the 5th floor and they're up in the attic dormers. Elevator stops at level four! Room was clean and the cleaning lady was very attentive. Give her a raise. No carpet in the room. Some kind of squeaky veneer. (Sorry, 401). Comfortable twin beds with no squeaks. Heat/AC worked silently. Desk is one college kid like you'd expect in a hostel. Old hidden stone spiral staircase goes all the way up to fifth. Great shower. Quiet fridge. Breakfast crew at bar next door were nice but didn't seem like they cared too much about our eating experience. Nice cold spread at the bar and the staff will bring you hot food if you remind them it's their job. "Menu? Oh! Yeah.". But they were pleasant about it. Maybe an early morning staffing issue with a sleep-in manager. Busy night.

We loved our stay here. The location was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. Food was great. Rooms were clean and comfy. Be aware that there are three floors and no elevator. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it could be for others. Overall, highly recommend the Inn!
