Central Valley Romantic Vacations

It's super loud at night and in the day by the pool. Sort of like sleeping at a club.

Upon arrival we were greeted by an empty “lobby” that lacks a check in desk. After wandering around and waiting a while, I opened a door labeled laundry where a young woman was standing on the other side watching us from a monitor on her tablet. We called several times while trying to check in with no answer on the number listed. The pool and outdoor area were much dingier than pictured. The room was fine and the bed was reasonably comfortable. We did have to ask for towels each day as no one ever came to clean our room. Overall, there are much better places to stay in Palm Springs within the same budget. I personally wouldn’t choose Royal Sun a second time based purely on their lack of customer service and support. We purchased resort passes to other properties and would highly recommend anyone staying at Royal Sun do the same.

Overrated. Room cheaply furnished as 1960’s, noisy air conditioning and pulling in gas exhaust from pool heater which was installed behind the rooms. Only interesting thing was the pool and some murals. Was the most expensive stay of my week of travel which included 3 hotels and the least value. Main entrance on back street instead of the main. Have to ring doorbell just to get in and register at main desk. Few parking spots. Pictures of property is deceiving and focus more on the amenities rather than the room you will be staying in.

Rooms are small no real sitting area or table. Grounds are beautiful

The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable regarding the area. Dominic was helpful whenever I needed anything. The property is clean and the pool/jacuzzi well maintained. There were many parking places close to our room. It's about a 15 minute walk to Disneyland, not the 8 minutes advertised. Still close enough to walk back to room for a break during the day. Microwave and small refrigerator in room that was nice. The beds were clean and comfortable and there were many towels for our use. My only complaint is that the carpets seemed to be in need of being steam cleaned. They left our feet black on the soles or our socks black when we were walking throughout the room. Between the beds seemed a little sticky. We would probably stay here again, but use house shoes or flips to walk while in the room.

Used to stay here a lot years ago. It’s definitely a different experience now and sadly not nearly as special. The Bungalows are smaller and have lost their charm. They first put us in one in the back of the property that smelled really musty. I’m not sure if it hadn’t been used in a while or if it had mold, but the smell was so strong we had to move rooms. Second Bungalow just felt like a standard hotel room. No balcony, nothing in the minibar,.. Their answer to the musty room was to send someone over with a spray bottle of air freshener which he proceeded to spray around the room. This actually smelled worse than the mold. Super bummed. Used to be a great place.
