Isla Contoy Pet-friendly Vacations

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and there were many reasons that brought me back—one of them being the beautiful beach. The facilities are always very clean, and it’s clear they put great effort into keeping everything running smoothly. What truly stands out, though, is the staff. They are exceptional, especially Rafaella from the palapa, who always takes care of guests with a warm smile. I absolutely love this place and will definitely return again.

Room was clean with a great ocean view, but could not get a beach chair at all. Not enough available at the beach or the pools.

The Good:The resort and rooms are absolutely stunning with a true 5-star aesthetic. The property is visually beautiful and well-maintained. The Not-So-Good: Kid-Friendliness: A huge miss for parents. Pool service (food/drinks) doesn’t start until 11:00 AM. We were there by 9:00 AM, and by the time food arrived, the kids were hangry. Even towels and water are DIY until 11:00 AM. Dining: Food quality was "meh" at best. On the all-inclusive plan, drinks were watered down, though tipping generously helped. Arrival Logistics: Check-in was slow and frustrating; staff seemed indifferent to restless kids after a long flight. Transfers: The paid "private" airport transfer was disappointing. It functioned like a shuttle rather than an assigned driver, leading to more unnecessary waiting. Verdict: Beautiful resort, but the service logistics and rigid hours made it difficult for families with young children

The hotel was very nice very clean. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Loved the taco and sushi bars. Definitely would stay here again.

We had a great 4 night trip to Haven for my Birthday. We upgraded to the Serenity Club Ocean Front and this was so worth it! The views were beautiful and we liked the patio and hot tub. The added amenities and upgraded service for the Serenity Club was well worth it. Our Butler, Gaby, took care of all of our dinner and spa reservations, and left a special birthday surprise in our room. We really enjoyed the Vistas and Tahani restaurants for breakfast. We spent time at all 3 pools and each had a unique vibe. The only thing we weren’t impressed with was the wines on the inclusive menu and the food at Olios and Agua Benito. My husband ordered a steak off the upgraded menu and was underwhelmed. We did find that the bars did have premium liquors like Tito’s, Jack Daniels, and Jose Cuervo, you just have to ask for them by name. The staff were all fantastic and so accommodating. A note about Gluten Free options. I found that menus were all clearly marked and that the chefs would accommodate where they could. They also explained what features of the dish had gluten so you could make an informed decision to your own tolerance I.e cross contamination from fryers etc . Vistas made me a GF avocado toast that was excellent! Every single thing was sparkling clean!

I would rate this travel 4.5. Not because of the hotel, but just my personal preferences. We statyed in the adult Coral section which was great. We had a junior suite and the lay out of the room was great. it has a beach vibe which is cool, but not my preference. I would have prefered more refinement in the room. (-.5) From bath room to bed, sitting are and the jacuzzi on the balcony. The views are great . I would highly suggest getting up to watch the sun rise. The beach and all the areas are maintained. Food and drink options were great and the staff was very helpful. WE statyed at another hotel closer to the hotel zone which was great as well. The one big difference we felt is that iberostar is more mature adult vibe, peaceful, like the spa. The other hotel was more of a fun young adult party vibe. Both were great. Have the party vibe for the first part of our stay and then having iberostar for the last few days was a great way to end our trip. This was our firest iberostar, we will be back.
