Piers Island Pet-friendly Vacations

Keefer House (KH) is so up-to-date, so well-designed and so comfortable that you might just stay in and miss the attractions of Vancouver such as the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Garden that is just across the street. My apartment faced busy Keefer Street and from the balcony I could hear the street traffic and the distinctive noise of the Skytrain just a few blocks away. When the door to the balcony was closed it was silent. The AC was effective and whisper quiet. KH is a reasonable walk from the Pacific Central Railway Station and a 20-25 minute walk to the heart of downtown Vancouver. One reviewer deemed the surrounding area "sketchy". It is in old, historic Chinatown and there are security gates across storefronts, plastic screens in fast-food restaurants and people living on the street. I found many of the restaurants uninviting but less than two blocks away at the intersection of Main Street and Georgia Street is Dalina Coffee Kitchen. All white inside, it looks like an outpost of KH: tasty pastries, light food and good coffee. Also, a bit farther at Abbot Street and W. Pender Street is Keto Caveman Bakery, Café and Bar. Inside it's funky and a bit rundown, but where else could you get a lambergini or poutine. There is also a very popular cocktail bar next to KH. Heading west on Keefer Street there is an upscale selection of restaurants. The check-in process is all online and I think might be daunting for some.

The room was in excellent, clean condition and had plenty of square foot space for my wife and myself. The one unique feature that caught us off guard was the glass wall of the shower looking out on the bedding space. We did not find it objectionable. The staff was excellent in helping us.

Overall the property was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful but the location and room view was disappointing for the cost.

Beautiful, big, clean and quiet room. Coffee machine and pods provided.

We will definitely use this property again. The place is clean, everything is organized & we have an ocean view. Close to many different restaurants & grocery stores. Very convenient. We highly recommend this condominium with ocean views.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. On-site restaurants and bars were well staffed and servers were very friendly. Great place to stay during our trip to Vancouver and the staff was incredible.

I would have liked to access the breakfast offered to other guests but because I booked with Expedia I was unable to access
