The location is excellent. The amenities are pretty sparse.

Although we had a bit of a hiccup with check in and the code not emailed the host was very prompt in answering the call and allowing entrance to building and room.

We loved our stay here - while the rooms were a bit dated the hotel offers a superb value and location. The property is well maintained and we loved the comfortable beds and having a kitchenette.

Great location- huge room, with everything you need. Spotless, with quality linens and comfy beds. Would stay here again.

The Douglas was an unexpected gem. We chose it for the location, but the staff and the quality of the furnishings and amenities was fantastic.

One of the best places I’ve stayed in Vancouver! The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Multiple bars and restaurants with great service and food The pool was a little bit small but lots of seating and the bar menu was bigger than I expected. Bed was super comfy. Bathroom was amazing included a Bose speaker built into the wall. Really nice features and amenities good location close to everything. The staff went above and beyond to make it a great stay

Location is excellent and really nice to have access to full kitchen

The property was in a great location. Unfortunately, when we checked into our room, there was a strong smell of tobacco smoke. The front desk attendant came to the room and confirmed the odor. As the property was fully booked, or our rental company’s room allocation was exhausted, they were unable to move us to another room. Instead, they sprayed air freshener in the room and left the spray bottle with us. On the Saturday, another member of staff contacted us to apologise again and asked for permission to enter the room. We agreed, and they also left a can of air freshener in an attempt to help dissipate the smell. We understand that situations like this can occasionally occur. However, given the nightly rate we paid for the accommodation, we did not feel that this was an acceptable standard, particularly as we were unable to be moved to a smoke-free room for the duration of our stay.
