Stratford Mountain Vacations

The room was very nice -lots of space, with nice separation for traveling with kids. There’s a bedroom, bath and vanity slightly separated, and then a sitting room with tv and desk. We were disappointed that there was no refrigerator or microwave (there was a good coffee setup), or room service. All food options close at 9 pm or earlier. We didn’t mind the reno construction work. It wasn’t very loud. Kids get up early anyway, and the courtyards and outdoor pool were open and gorgeous. I hope they don’t change the place too much! It’s already very pretty in a classic Southwest/ Mexican style.

5 stars for the resort overall. Fantastic location, cool views, nice clean room, well kept grounds, pool and hot tubs were all in good shape. The restaurant is convenient and very good. All of the employees were very pleasant and helpful, most notably Cruz at the front desk. They have different activities scheduled and we took in a stargazing/astronomy talk. We would definitely return. The reason for 4 stars was our experience at the spa. My wife made a reservation for a massage months ago, filled out the preference forms the day before and got a confirmation. When she showed up for the appointment she was told they didn’t have a masseuse available. They did offer to reschedule or do a different treatment but that was the only time we had available (hence the reservation) and she wanted a massage. We went shopping in town instead and made the best of it but it was still very disappointing.

Our unit was clean of dust and clutter but smelled musty, and the carpets were decades old and dirty feeling. The whole thing needed to be renewed 25 years ago. I felt disappointed with my stay.

The view was nice, unfortunately street noise was a bit loud

I was very wary of booking this hotel, based on some of the reviews on here.. I followed my gut and booked it regardless, and was absolutely blown away by the level of service provided by this hotel. We pulled up and were greeted by the wonderful concierge team, valet parking, immediately handed us an umbrella to shield us from the rain.. went into check in and had an amazing experience with the front desk. The room was absolutely incredible with the best views of the red rocks, I've never seen anything like it, and the views from the room were so great we didn't need to leave.. The bar is right next to a creek and offers outdoor seating, an upscale, cozy experience. There is an onsite free shuttle service where you are able to get a free taxi essentially, anywhere within a 1.5km radius. All staff were amazing, the hotel was amazing, and the service was incredible. We got engaged on the balcony of the hotel, it was incredible. For anyone put off by bad reviews, ignore them. Ultimately the hotel isn't cheap, and so any miniscule minor inconveniences seem to trigger a bad review here. Ignore and enjoy - you won't regret it.

Room was clean. It has great features. Bathroom was my favorite. Lots of good restaurants around ghe block. I definitely recommend it.
