Hawaii Island Mountain Vacations

Stayed in the Palace tower which is about an 8 minute walk to the main lobby area, then a few more minutes to the car unless doing valet. There’s a tram that can take you between the towers but it can take some time. It was a really nice property, beautiful views. The palace tower was new renovated so the inside was nice and clean and pretty spacious. Perfect for families as there are lots of activities and the pool looked nice. Or for people who are just wanting to stay at the resort. I came with friends and we did a lot of exploring outside so didn’t get to thoroughly enjoy everything the property had to offer. Real nice place though. They had an issue with the key system at check in so we did have to wait some time and it took a while to get resolved, security ended up having to let us in so that was a little inconvenient but otherwise good stay. Had some food at the lagoon grill which was not bad, everything’s pricey so be prepared for that.

The whole experience at Mauna Lani was top-notch. Food is terrific (especially Canoe House; fabulous meal and service!), hospitality was warm and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable with an incredible view, the golf courses and pools and beach amenities were five-star, and the overall vibe was relaxing and posh without being pretentious. Excited to return…hopefully soon!

This was a very special Christmas treat! The hotel is spectacular at Christmas and we had the best stay!

The grounds are always kept in prime condition. The access to a good snorkel beach and a near by pool is one main reason for coming here. The staff were all great and helpful. The food service and quality were great at each location. Breakfast was excellent. Of course $40 a night for self-parking and another $40 for Resort fees is a killer as it is just pure profit add on to the room rate.

Compared to other facilities, not necessarily in Hawaii, this place is overrated for the price of $800 per night.

The place is tired! We were placed in a construction zone, which I was told the noise/construction would not affect the guests! FAR FAR from reality! Very noisy (grinding). Also, the front desk sends you to your room which is located in the construction zone without any assistance from a staff member. And I requested a room with two double beds and was issued a king! We had to request a rollout bed which the room had NO space for an additional bed. Be careful in the beach chairs the three we used were broken. It was worth the inconvenience of the unstable chairs to enjoy the “lagoon.” Remember you also pay for a daily resort fee!

Nice property, nice location very close to marina where mantle ray night tours leave from. Would stay again
