Miltonvale Park Luxury Vacations

It’s a nice place and you get what you paid for. It’s very affordable. It’s basically a room in a home. The only issue we had was we did have a distinctive smell of mold or mildew in our room. We could not locate it, but it was definitely there otherwise a wonderful place great location and great staff.

The property consists of several old homes that have been remodelled into a hotel. We stayed in the middle home, which was probably the least attractive of the three homes. The room was OK. It wasn’t particularly well cleaned by housekeeping and there was nothing extraordinary about it. It was OK not great there was air-conditioning. The hotel offers free coffee drinks, but you have to go to the main lobby to get them in the morning. Overall, the staff was lovely and very very friendly. We had breakfast one day, which wasn’t included in our package and it was very good and very reasonably priced. It is the high season, but I wouldn’t stay there again for the price that we paid.

The a.c. in the room must be updated... first it's really noisy, but most of all, it was blowing big rush of wind in my face as I lied in the bed. My hair was litteraly moving like if I was in front of a big wind. I had to unplug the a.c. unit because there was no other way to reduce the strenght of the fan. And it was summer, so it ended up being very warm in the room, and the windows don't open. The bathroom also need renovation. Especially for a regular room at more than 300$, I expect better. If I would have paid 150$, I would have understand, but at that price, it's way above what you get. I am planning another trip in that region, and I will NOT go there again.

Dalvay has all the old world charm imaginable, great staff - Alexandra, Emily and Sarah were standouts. But that charm could benefit from some serious improvements, especially as relates to food service - an unchanging, very limited and robust (not friendly to lighter appetites); the same applies to breakfast - limited and emormous servings. No fruit bowl, upcharges if you just want a bagel, juice only if you ask for it. Since Dalvay is in a national park, you must drive miles to find other, more varied food options - and nothing nearby for breakfast. So you end up being hostage to their restaurant. They might consider offering a light bite dinner and/especially breakfast. Also, why not offer boxed lunches to their visitors?
