Fantastic location - a short walk from 鹽埕埔 station. Room was overall relatively spacious. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Drinking water dispenser available on every floor. Bring your own water bottle, toothbrush and toothpaste and you'll have everything.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Shangri-La. The room was really spacious, and we had a terrific view. The front desk and concierge staff were very gracious and helpful. Also, we had New Year’s Eve dinner at the hotel’s Shanghai Pavilion at the top of the hotel. Our waiter (who I think is the manager) helped us make our selections, and it was fantastic! The hotel is also attached to an upscale department store which is fun to visit. It The hotel is also across the street from the local train station. You can take a fairly short ride to Kaohsiung, which is a cool harbor town and perfect for a day trip.

It’s a newer hotel with sizable room. Staffs speak English and courteous.

The location is good - very close to Formosa Boulevard Station & Liouhe Night Market. The hotel is newly renovated. The room is clean & big - It can accommodate a small square dinning table for 4 pax & with my (standard size for checked) luggage opened on the floor. The staff are nice & helpful. The breakfast is acceptable & ‘fit for purpose’ but the dinning hall is big so no need to queue up for food/tables in the morning. The key drawback is the surrounding, a bit shady & dark with cars & motorcycles running around. However, taking into account the overall price, it is the give & take. (Basically, this hotel is managed by Ever Luck Hotel next to it & they shared the same reception.)

This hotel was an absolutely wonderful place to stay at while visiting Kaohsiung. The hotel felt very new with modern finishes and amenities. Water, juice and coffee are all free on the first floor. There’s a laundry room, gym room with 2 pieces of equipment, a dining room and men’s/women’s hot tubs. Our room was super spacious and had plenty of room to walk, store our luggage and avoid elbowing each other like in smaller hotels. Highly recommend staying here in you’re ever in Kaohsiung!
