Hawaii Island Luxury Vacations

As soon as you pulled up the valet was very friendly and helpful with directions. The view to the ocean took my breath away as soon as you walked in to the main entrance. I enjoyed my stay and it was very pleasant having staff text me about current events and things going on around the area. For example the volcano being active so that we didn’t get to miss anything special about Hawaii. I didn’t even have to go anywhere and got to see sea turtles right outside the restaurant after breakfast the day before we were going to leave.

A very nice experience

My husband and I had a wonderful one week stay at Fairmont Orchid. The weather was perfect mid October, and this area is generally very dry. We were looking to unwind and only rented a car for one day to go visit Volcano village and the botanical gardens in Hilo. I do recommend a one and a half hour scenic drive to the beautiful gardens. Snorkeling in the hotel lagoon was an amazing experience. There are so many turtles there and different kinds of fish. The hotel provides snorkeling equipment free of charge. Do not forget water shoes for swimming. I saw many sea urchins. There were plenty of chaises in the shade as well as in the sun, and you could also rent covered chaises as well as private cabanas. The food is good but it’s better at the neighboring Mauna Lani for the same money. The shuttle will take you there free of charge. You can walk there along the beach. We enjoyed both resorts. Fairmont guests are welcome at Mauna Lani. Overall, great relaxing time.

Beautiful condo and convenient washer and dryer inside the condo itself. We had a partial ocean view and it was absolutely breathtaking. Very close to so many places and only 30min from the airport

I wish I had a better experience because don’t get me wrong this is a beautiful place. But to get treated by staff the way my father and I did was just unacceptable. You are supposed to apparently receive bracelets when checking in, but the person checking us in never gave us them. No big deal, until I went to go down a water slide and a worker there told me “if you come any further you are going to get trespassed. We will call the police.” No explanation, no “did they give you a bracelet at the front desk,” no “are you staying here?” It’s one thing to just ask but to threaten to call the police on me for a place I paid for is wild. Then talking to customer service they also were not kind or accommodating. “If you want to leave then you can,” they said. My dad and I ended up leaving early. It’s a shame that you have such a beautiful place, but your staff is so unpleasant. Also, the tram was broken and when it was running a good portion didn’t have AC. This place just needs to do better. There also aren’t great dinner spots around and it’s in a super remote location.
