The Pierre is historic, located directly East of Central Park, and seemingly maintains a five star rating for precisely those attributes. The attractively priced suites are all interior facing on dimly lit lower floors. Don't expect to be upgraded for sunlight and a view without paying double. Also, room rates with 'breakfast included' have a restaurant credit, not a hotel credit. Ordering from the in-room breakfast menu simply to take advantage of my 'perk' resulted in hundreds of dollars in disputable charges. My membership in Taj's loyalty program resulted in zero benefits, which is a bit surprising as the company only operates two properties in North America.

Great experience overall!

Everything was great, just disappointed that the restaurant was closed for renovations. Looking forward to seeing it next time! Anyway, lots of others places to go nearby.

The staff here is absolutely amazing! They always make me feel welcome and they all seem to actually get along and like each other (if they don’t they are faking it really well;)

Very disappointed with the level of of service at the pool. Upon check in, front desk did not advise I needed to book complimentary seating at the pool days in advance. Trying to get a seat was absolutely ridiculous and the staff was not helpful at all. When I brought it to their attention that multiple people came in before and after us and were given seats, the manager said they were not aware of that - packed pool, cloudy water, poor bev and food service coupled with poor management left me highly upset and will never book nor recommend the William Vale. Certainly not a world class property - terrible service.

Spent 137 dollars for breakfast too expensive and you have to pay hotel fee 45$ per day.

Beautiful property, fun bar, great rooftop view and pool

This was a perfect stay for our family trip. It offered enough space and privacy from while traveling with teenagers. The location was great. Quick walk to Wall St, Battery Park, and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was close to dining and subway station. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property.
