Garden Island Fishing Vacations

Staff were very helpful and friendly at check-in. First night had to get caretaker to let me out as the door locked me in. And the morning I was leaving found ants through everything. The playgrounds and parks were lovely and very safe with security gate.

The rooms are right in among the vines. Very clean and comfortable. Staff at the restaurant/bar were knowledgeable about the products. Great place for a sundowner after exploring Swan Valley for the day

We had a Club Lounge room, this was fantastic. The room was enormous, clean and well appointed. The cocktails and the breakfast in the lounge were plentiful and wide ranging, plenty for any taste. Staff were friendly and helpful. Won’t hesitate to stay here again

Bed was very comfortable, roof top bar has a good vibe, would definitely stay here again.

I stayed for work, wanting to be near the train station to commute to Crown for a convention and attend meetings in the CBD and UWA precinct. Alex Hotel had been recommended by friends, and this was indeed a good location, clean with helpful and very friendly staff. I had been put off previously by the room rates, but it was low season and there was a discount through Expedia this time. However this is not for a business traveller and certainly not a place that I feel like I would stay if I was on holiday (except for maybe one night en route to somewhere else). Room was very basic (no chair, desk), iron/ironing boards were shared for each floor, complimentary tea/coffee was available but on Level 1. I understand breakfast at a home is expensive, but this seemed steep. In all, these things I can live with. The major issue was the noise. I understand that this is in Northbridge and I know what this place is about (I had a uni job at The Deen nightclub nearby). Bass from Universal Bar persisted well after midnight. The clubs are not going anywhere, but I did expect noise-proofing, and not having to rely on complimentary ear plugs. I had a "Slumber" room, and I am fairly certain the noise was not disclosed as an issue. I don't think I can justify the room rate, even with the discount. Stay here if you're keen for a big night out with your mates, but its not exactly a romantic getaway or suitable as a place to base yourself for extended business trips.

Large room with a balcony we couldn’t use due to weather but helpful because the windows are single pane and the road noise is high. Large shower with separate tub. There is a mini fridge and kettle for instant coffee or tea. The closet comes with four attached hangers but they will bring more if you ask. Not sure how the allocation of towels works but we had to ask to have facecloths delivered. No bar soap for the shower but attached liquid bath gel, shampoo & conditioner. There’s a guest laundry. Bedtime your credit card

Mother and adult daughter had an excellent stay at this property. The suite was exactly what we needed after a two week long road trip across Australia. The staff was the most welcoming and friendly we have ever experienced. Breakfast was perfect and the evening social hour was a very nice addition.
