Clean and quiet and spacious

Convenient location, only a short walk from Kawaramachi Station. Breakfast is a mix between set meal and small additional buffet. Both Japanese and Western options were very tasty. Room was spacious and comfy.

The Japanese style room is as close to a ryokan stay as you can get. Try the Japanese breakfast - both the Japanese and western breakfast was plentiful, nutritious and tasty. Staff service, friendliness and attentiveness was impeccable. We truly enjoyed our stay. Around the corner to the Dogo Onsen (historic onsen that recently reopened) although we didn’t visit, seeing the building (at night) is impressive. We can to visit the shrines and do a tiny Henro - this is walkable to the Ishitige Shrine and others close by. Wonderful stay - and getting a room with the in room onsen was very a nice indulgence.

From the moment you walk through the door you realise this hotel will be amazing The staff and the exquisite decor confirmed our first impression Everyone went out of their way to provide extra service to suit are needs Over the last 50 years of extensive travel, this is the first hotel we would actually return to

Apartment doesn’t have windows to see anything outside; also it is not a rack to dry the clothing after washed

Spacious kitchen and dining area is the most we have enjoyed.

I would give a 5 stars if the staff could send me the check in instruction on time and before check in time. I had to use Expedia customer service to contact the Hotel staff and get the door code.
