Cape Winelands Cheap Vacations

We absolutely loved this property. The hotel itself is wonderful, we loved our spacious room and the staff was incredible, always ready to help and make our stay as pleasant as possible. The property is in a very popular area, lots of night life, if you are early to bed, we recommend requesting a room away from the front of the hotel, which can be noisy. Great breakfast offered in a three different restaurants very close, plus an amazing amount of good restaurants in general. We highly recommend the property.

Close to waterfront and good Spa services

Great location, restaurants and pool. Shuttle bus to V&A is a great perk also. The room are a suitable size for a family of four. Overall, great location for a city break.

Parking slightly limited

Facilities could be better maintained e.g bathroom extractor fan.

Great stay overall. Room was clean and spacious with nice amenities and a large bathroom. Complimentary mini bar and welcome drinks was a great touch. Guests are welcome to walk or jog around the vineyard. Me and partner jogged around the vineyard, we loved it. The estate is beautiful and the views from the main courtyard is amazing. Breakfast was ok and not very accommodating when it came to ordering a different combination of hot menu items (was initially told we were going to be charged extra). Then they rescinded that at the end. The service at the restaurant for dinner was quite poor. Requested removing the chorizo from the starter which was ignored. We also essentially poured our own wine. Otherwise the service was good. The front desk helped arrange private transfers with short lead time.

Great place to stay but the cottages lack good lighting in the living room and comfy seating outside. That said we enjoyed our stay

We stayed at the property due to its close proximity to a wedding we were attending. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. The thing that brought down our experience were the ants in our room. They were crawling on the bed and our clothing which was unsettling. While the staff tried to remedy it through cleaning, you’d still wake up with them in the bed.

Suite 406 was our gorgeous oasis in Cape Town Kenny is a friendly, generous gentleman who helped us every step of the way! The Urban Elephant @ The Rose is highly recommended by us!

I really enjoyed the stay and hospitality of staff as everyone was attentive and helpful. The breakfast was great as well. I look forward to another stay in the future.

Bar was excellent, lots of shops in walking distance and V&A Mall 15 mins by car
