Barolong Cheap Vacations

The room was clean and hotel was overall beautiful but the noise from the elevator and room shaking was terrible

Receptionist Ricardo was so nice and very friendly., we got upgraded to the best suite

Really great spot. Love the low key aesthetic and cool design. The tiles in the bar area are great. Nice breakfast spot by pool, and beach club is outstanding. Only small issue is there were a bunch of loud little kids shouting and cannon-balling into the pool. Super disruptive to the peaceful setting and zero was done to ask the kids to chill just a bit. Overall - super spot and renovation has made it a gem again.

If you’re staying at the Westgate I think you know what you want and what you’re in for. Room and casino were clean, but we stayed there for the metro access and cheaper rates. I’ll say that the staff were all friendly and did great jobs, my only true complaint is the typical way they try to “talk” to you to get you in for a time-share/vacation club pitch. Lie and say you’re under 26 or whatever the cutoff is.

If you’re staying at the Westgate I think you know what you want and what you’re in for. Room and casino were clean, but we stayed there for the metro access and cheaper rates. It was clean but sometimes they would forgot to put toilet paper or hand soap in the room. Another thing that I didn’t love was feeling like my door was going to open because it didn’t seem super stable. We normally put the chair in the room, in front of the door to keep it stabilized. It was a good property for what we paid for. We got what we paid for. I really appreciated the microwave and the fridge in the room. It was so nice! We got what we paid for so I can’t complain.

The staff was very nice. The beds were very comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. It was not really fancy, but it was clean and I only slept there so it served my needs.
