From our curbside welcome to checkin, spa staff, concierge(great recos), to our departure, we felt valued and treated at every turn. Location is A++. Highly recommend for special occasions in particular. This property's Attention to every detail is impressive!

Smithe House provided a clean, quiet refuge for our weekend in Vancouver. The location is within walking distance (15-20) minutes from most downtown attractions. There are local eateries, bars and coffees much closer as well.
Decor is modern and in that way also a bit sterile, but the apartment was very clean, the bathrobes fluffy and the gym more than adequate for a good morning workout.

I recently stayed at the Wedgewood Hotel and was very disappointed with the experience. Upon arrival, the staff was not welcoming or friendly, which set a negative tone right away. The room we were given on the 7th floor had a terrible odor, and unfortunately, my family became sick after the first night. When we requested a room change, the staff seemed very reluctant to accommodate us, though they eventually did move us for the second night.
For a hotel of this reputation, I expected much higher standards in both hospitality and room quality. This experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, and I would not recommend staying here.
