The location is brilliant less tham 1 km to the harbour, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. The staff are so helpful especially Murat. The Terrace view is spectacular for breakfast or evening cocktails. Would highly recommend and the pool is great after a day of sight seeing.

The Amanda’s location within the old city walls makes it ideal for visiting the main attractions besides being close to the sea front and promenade.We loved the charms of the 1950’s furnishings and fittings including photographs and other artefacts depicting Istanbul’s history. Our room was extremely comfortable with lovely pristine bedding and beautiful towels. The friendly reception staff gave us great advice about how to see all the sights on our list. We also loved the rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast with a great views of the sea and Blue Mosque - only topped at night when the Blue Mosque is magically transformed by lightning. The evening menu has lots of choice at a reasonable price while the range at breakfast includes a mix of traditional local foods. If we return to Istanbul the Armada Hotel will be our first choice to book.

I chose this hotel because it suited our situation, but unfortunately the same problem occurred during every stay. Every time we checked into our room, the first thing we had to do was inspect the bed sheets because they always had yellow stains or what appeared to be old blood stains that remained even after washing. We had to ask for the sheets to be replaced every single time, and this was usually done reluctantly. The most disappointing part happened during check-out on June 30, when the receptionist told me that the manager had said, “If you are not satisfied, why do you keep booking our hotel?” Instead of addressing a repeated housekeeping issue, this was the response we received. Another thing worth mentioning is that the manager regularly walks around the breakfast room asking guests to leave Google reviews while they are eating. In some cases, he even takes guests’ phones and helps them submit the reviews. This makes the large number of consecutive five-star Google reviews difficult to interpret as completely spontaneous. The hotel building itself is attractive and has great potential, but housekeeping standards need significant improvement. I also hope the owner considers hiring a more professional manager who focuses on resolving guest concerns rather than dismissing them.

I love how they try to accommodate with everything and go the extra mile for your needs. My room is always prepared before hand with any requests I have. I believe a fairly new hotel but they are doing a fantastic job so far.

excellent service and staff but wifi did not work in rooms and the fridge was not cold enough to keep food at proper food safety standards
