We had a very pleasant stay overall. Wonderful location, nice room, very clean. Staff were consistently warm, attentive, and eager to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was another highlight. There was a great variety of options, with something for everyone, and everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. The only challenge during our stay was the elevators. Maybe some of them were not in service? They were often very slow or crowded, which led us to take the stairs at one point from the 8th floor. Unfortunately, when we reached the second floor for breakfast, we found that the stairwell door was locked, which was a bit inconvenient. Avoid rush hour! That said, the excellent service and great breakfast made up for the small inconvenience, and I would still consider staying at Riu many times again.

Staff were very nice

I would have rated all 5 star but the restaurant Atwood was closed and we weren’t notified in time to change plans! The staff and (Mr.Brown ) were extremely accommodating! It was my bday and they decorated our room with all sorts of goodies including a hand made stuffed wash cloth doggie! Our housekeeper was amazing too! The room decor is such fun and extremely clean! The only drawback is the rooms are very small and some not configured well! All and all it’s a wonderful place to experience!!!!🍍

The property looks beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The details are, however, very lacking. The window in my room was drafty and upon inspection there were stains on the curtains. The shower had basically no edge to it and the curtain was short enough that the floor flooded when we showered. The bed was also not comfortable- especially the pillows which had zero support. It's a good location but I definitely won't be staying here again.

The staff was super helpful and very welcoming. The room had an amazing view for us, beings it was our first time being in Chicago. It’s was so close to everything we wanted to visit and super convenient. I will most definitely stay at this hotel again for future stays in the city.!! Thank you so much for taking pride in your establishment, and your employees, as both we’re definitely deserving of a 5 star rating and review.!

Very nice, clean and there is a pool, a small gym and access to good things in the area

The property was well maintained, and everybody was very helpful polite the day was phenomenal. We couldn’t ask for anything else. It was great.

Great place to stay on campus. Extremely helpful and friendly staff you don’t typically find at the chain hotels.
