Excellent location. Take a few steps to get into the front door. If you have knee issues, then lugging a suitcase up those steps can be an issue.

Beautiful building over look the sea, good location, within walking distance 5 minutes to piazza Victoria where is a transportation hub, shopping and restaurant. Chair lift to Mount Solaro also there in the Piazza. Walk another 2 minutes, reach bus stops to Blue Grotto and Faro. It is a very convenient location. Hotel also has 2 Terrance that beautiful sunset and sun rise views can be easy captured. Breakfast and resturant/bar offer breath taking sea views, over looking the Capri Marina Grande. I was very happy stayed there. Sure will come back to stay some day.

We stayed at Villa Exelsior during our honeymoon and it was truly a 10/10 experience! Our room had a sunning view of the mountains and sea, we had breakfast brought up to our room every morning and the staff were incredible attentive. They helped us with restaurant reservations and activities. The pool area is also stunning. We felt so at home during our stay and didn't want to leave!!

How wonderful it was to open the curtains in the morning and look out and see the sea panorama of Ischia Naples, Mount Vesuvius, Sorrento all in one sweep. That alone was worth staying here, but in addition, the room was comfortable. The facility was clean and charming. Only mention is our room had a tub set up only and was a little slippery tricky to get in and out for a shower. The staff were superb and helpful at every turn. The location is ideal easy to walk to charming ann Capri and the shuttle service and local transport helps with other places. We utilized the convenient the pick up and drop off shuttle service. Eat breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant too. The little cave like steam room was so cute. The hotel is well managed, and we hope to return someday.
