Clean room and good breakfast.

This past weekend, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and our experience was largely positive. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the staff. The reception team was not only warm and friendly but also incredibly helpful, making check-in a breeze. Our dinner at The Roost, the on-site restaurant, was a highlight of our stay. The appetizers were delightful; the short rib nachos, served on crispy wontons, were particularly flavorful. For our entrées, the almondine-crusted salmon and the steak were both delicious and perfectly portioned, leaving us satisfied but not overly full. The hotel's amenities were well-maintained. The spa, pool, and hot tub were all clean and tidy, providing a relaxing escape. Our room was also a strong point. It was spacious with ample closet space, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Loved our stay here, close to everything and we even got a little fishing in on our trip. Only negative is that since I am allergic to dogs and with them being as pet friendly as they are (I didn't see this when booking), I had some issues with my face swelling after sleeping in the bed. Some of the carpets also smelled like animal urine... but other than that, we absolutely loved it here.

Visually the resort is stunning, the grounds are beautiful, the attention to detail remarkable and the pool/spa area is amazing. The food in The Lazy Goat was really good especially the Maple Rosemary Chicken Wings. However, the elevator in our building (The Mansion) was broken, we were on the second floor and they did offer to help with our bags. The ice machine was also out of commision and the lobby door needed a little TLC to spruce up the area. It's a little odd that there is no dedicated reception area, I wasn't sure where to go to check in then realised check in is at the same counter as the coffee and pastries. Overall we absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to relax and rejuvinate.
