Several return travelers we met here had one word to describe it: consistent. The resort is consistently high-quality, the staff are friendly, the food delicious, and the rooms clean. Our experience was the same. Our family of 4 stayed comfortably in 1 room and enjoyed watching for whales from our ocean-view room. When we'd go to breakfast, Felipe knew our kids wanted his special chocolate milk with cinnamon. He also served at the cevicheria, which we ate at every single lunch because the menu was so good and the view of the water was mesmerizing. We set up for the day in the sand under the palm trees and relaxed while staff attended to us. The beach in front of the hotel has soft sand, and the water was clear and a beautiful blue-green. The waves were perfect for bodysurfing! We did not use the spa or gym, but we did get the Club access, which we highly recommend for adults. It gave access to a private rooftop deck bar with top-notch drinks, another rooftop pool and bar with the only hot tubs on the property, and a Mediterranean restaurant. What drew us here in the first place was its design; they've refreshed rooms and added features that make the place look and feel special. It is a smaller resort than ones we've been to in other locations, with one large pool. It had a small playset for little kids, and we saw a kids' club room. The only thing I wished for was that my teens had a hangout spot to meet friends.

Location of resort is great - safe, walkable and swimmable beach. Quiet location, beautiful scenery. Facilities are excellent and the layout of the resort makes for a relaxing experience. Our room was very nice - although we did have a problem on check-in that we were given a 2 double bed room when we'd specifically requested a king bed room. This was corrected the next day and we moved rooms for the duration of the stay.

We recently stayed at this resort and what could have been a stressful vacation due to an unforeseen situation turned into an experience that reminded us why we love this resort so much. The hotel staff immediately followed all safety protocols and reassured every guest with calm professionalism. Even with everything going on, guests including us continued to enjoy the resort safely and comfortably. I'd like to give special thanks to several incredible team members whose kindness and professionalism made our stay unforgettable: Marcos, Alejandra, Yaneli and Osadis from the buffet restaurant, who treated us with the utmost respect and made every meal warm and welcoming. Rosa from the SPA, for her exceptional service and attentiveness. Betty, Lizbeth, Patricia and Ismael at the lobby who were always courteous, helpful, and friendly. Soco from hotel services, who made us feel taken care of with clean towels and a extremely clean room for 8 nights! Hyatt Ziva PV continues to exceed our expectations in both hospitality and genuine care, We felt safe, valued, and truly appreciated as guests. WE WILL BE BACK VERY SOON!

The Laguna Villa was truly lovely. Staff were great. Food was more than good enough. Will stay again.
