The property is average for its price point. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, my stay was overshadowed by what I consider a lack of honesty and transparency during check-in. I had specifically requested a non-smoking room both at the time of booking and again during check-in. Despite this, I was assigned a room on a smoking floor and was told it was a non-smoking room. The room itself had none of the usual non-smoking signage, making it clear that it was not actually designated as non-smoking. As a result, cigarette smoke entered the room through the air-conditioning system from neighbouring rooms, and I had a very poor night’s sleep. The following day, the hotel did move me to a room on a genuine non-smoking floor, for which I am grateful. However, the staff continued to insist that the original room had been non-smoking, despite the evidence to the contrary. That unwillingness to acknowledge what had happened was more disappointing than the initial mistake itself. Because of this experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.
