Firstly the staff was excellent - always greeted in a friendly manner and were eager to provide assistance. Eduardo was great! The room was average notwithstanding the outside deck. There was not chair to sit in the room - two chairs on the deck os I took one in to the room. Understand the bed is low so a chair is needed. This speaks to the size of the room - needless to say TIGHT! As we know many hotels have gone to the dispenser strategy for bath products - two of the dispensers did not work! Did the staff check - probably not since they did not work until I checks out after three nights. Price to value - 3 stars out of 5

The hotel was unique. It felt like you were staying in a relative’s mansion. The location was terrific. We could walk to downtown Montclair easily.

Great location in 51st and 7th ave….3 minute walk to Times Square and 10 minute walk to Central Park. Right in the Theater District as well. Kendrick at the main desk was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a junior suite. The room was very large for NY standards. It was a bit dated, but very comfortable. The only downside to the property was no in room coffee. It was our second stay there, and we would definitely go back. The doorman was also very helpful and pleasant. Lots of helpful tips. Not related to the property…Ubers are very expensive in NY and can randomly charge extra for things like traffic, weather, etc. Our doorman recommended taking taxis instead and it cut our costs easily in half. For example…Uber from LaGuardia was $130….we took a taxi back to LaGuardia for $65…

I liked the location. Right in the middle of the Theatre District. Hotel is well maintained. Personal are terrific esp Maria on the 10th floor. The concierge woman was easy to talk to and helped me with which play or musical to see. I had a problem with my room. They put me right next to the exit to the stairs and the door slammed and woke me up. The handheld shower head is much too heavy for the holder so it bends down and is hard to shower with. All in all I enjoyed my stay.

Clean room. Friendly and helpful staffs. Very convenient for shopping and variety of food outlets.

The hotel is in the best location. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!

Hotel hits all the 5 star spots apart from 2 points. 1 - the rooms are not soundproof at all, and being able to hear the conversations in the room next door so clear that i could repeat what they were saying is not what i would expect. Second - the front desk staff are not as polished and committed to the level of service i would expect from a top end 5 star hotel. Doormen were top class. All in all it's a good hotel, but with so much choice in NY, i have stayed in better.

Service and cleanliness

This hotel is right in the heart of Times Square—very accessible, clean, and the staff was helpful. Although I wasn’t there much since I was mostly out exploring, I had no issues during my stay. The only minor confusion was that there are two RIU hotels just a couple of blocks from each other, but that’s not a reflection on the hotel itself

Ideal location, everything you need at the hotel with helpful staff. Also, very clean. Look forward to my next stay.

We love staying in Mid town This property has it all. Lovely staff. Room with a view of Times Square. Very walkable area

Everyone was very sweet. Even the person behind the reception desk, came around to open the door as I struggled with all the assets I had for work.

I’ll definitely stay here again. It’s a great location. The property is clean, the staff very helpful, and the food options are great.
