It’s a small family hostal/hotel very small for a short period accommodation, very convenient for travelers that mostly are outside enjoying activities and go back for sleep and rest. The staff is lovely a dry dedicated to satisfy the needs

We spent 3 nights at Ambong Villas, and it was the best 3 nights, the room was really amazing, very clean and the views were insane! The staff were really friendly, and welcoming, they made it feel like home. The whole process from check-in till check-out was so smooth, even during our stay the staff helped us with recommendations to go try different beaches activities and restaurants which were really nice! I highly recommend this place. It is really special to us now and we will come back for sure InshAllah.

When we arrived at Ambong - we were completely lost for words, the view, the attention to detail and the overall warmth and service from the team were better than 10/10. We’ve stayed all over LANGKAWI across different 5* hotels and Ambong wins hands down for the service and cleanliness of the rooms. In particular, we want to thank Nizal and Shaffy for coming to drive us up to our room and always with a smile! The breakfast and restaurant are amazing. Great quality and extensive! We had the meat breakfast at Rimba (Ambong Pool Villas restaurant) which has incredible views over the water and is perfect for sunset dinner and drinks but also really loved the vegan breakfast at the rainforest restaurant … maybe even MORE! (Thank you Nizal for the recommendation). The dusky monkeys are such a wonderful treat, waking up and watching them from our bedroom window was so special. The room was always made up perfectly, and their turndown service was really appreciated as they made the room perfect to retreat to after a long day of exploring the island. A few practical bits to note - the pool area is quite shaded due to the rainforest around which is perfect in the heat, but it could have been spruced up a little in the morning. The room was very high up into the mountain which was perfect for the views, but it does mean you must rely on their shuttle service - although we enjoyed a few walks up and down for our health!

All staff friendly and attentive. Amazing breakfast with great selection to cater for all tastes. Beautiful grounds, quiet and location, note the property has a beautiful beach view but not for swimming. 6 mins drive from airport, 15 mins from skyride attraction and 20 mins pentai chaning ( main beach area). We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights.

Recently stayed in Sep 2026. The hotel has undergone a huge refurbishment yet still feels a little creaky and old. Credit has to be given to the staff, everyone is so friendly and helpful. But as mentioned, the maintenance and facilities management of this hotel could be greatly improved. Cons: hotel room feels a bit old and dusty. Service can be a little slow. The resort is pretty big and we used the buggies a lot. Buggies are on call, not a hop on/off service which means sometimes you have to wait up to 10 minutes for the buggy to reach you (you can walk within 5 to the main lobby) Breakfast was okay, omelettes were great but the variety was not much. Pros: resort is absolutely beautiful. Location is perfectly beachfront situated. Breakfast in pelangi grill comes with some insane views (but the breakfast here is smaller than the main restaurant). Walking to pantai cenang is about 10 minutes from here. The pool is amazing, clean and delightfully warm. The resort itself wasn’t too busy and the main areas are kept very clean and zen. Welcome drinks were refreshing and lovely.

Excellent beach and pool. Uniquely set in the middle of rainforest. Main restaurant is great for breakfast but would try something else for dinner. TA rating should be much higher.

The area around the pool wasn't cleared overnight with towels left behind by guests. The toilets by the restaurant wasn't cleaned. However, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the choices of food were amazing. Credit to the kitchen crew for the delicious food. Also, credit to the young intern from Bali. Very cheerful, friendly and a delight to talk to.
