"The most important thing to note is the limited hours of the front desk (10am to 6pm in the summer). This is an issue if you might arrive late or want to leave your bags in the morning after checking out. The hotel is absolutely serious about wanting you to contact them before you arrive to confirm your arrival time although the email they sent to me had no return email address. "Although the property was older, this just added to the charm for us. We could view the Matterhorn from our bedroom window and this hotel was in the best location of the whole of Zermatt. There is no lift, so alot of stairs with heavy cases. But we were aware and didnt mind the extra fitness. Breakfast was included and much appreciated. Would definately stay again."
