"We booked this property at the last minute as our original choice in Tropea was WELL below standard. Gianfranco was very quick to respond and accommodate our suddent change in plans. He readied the house in a few hours for an early check in and even met us in the town piazza to guide us directly to the house. He was an excellent, responsive host. "In the off season the hotel isn’t staffed full time but the communication by WhatsApp was fabulous. I have never seen a 10:30 am check out, I thought that was a bit early. The room was clean but tiny but the bed was comfortable and climate control easy to use. The bathroom door was too long for the floor making it hard to close so we left it open but not great for anyone wanting privacy. Tv was great and we could use our own Netflix at night. Parking was easy underground with a code. I would have given more stars if more amenities and a noon check out. Breakfast was good but cold in a glassed in atrium, it’s probably beautiful in summer but it was cold, there were two heaters on but it was January and brrr. Very cute and clean spot just a little small, too early to rush out and a bit cold for breakfast. "

"Pros: perfect for couples. Parking available. Amazing view. Private and quiet. Attentive staff. Cons: the building and the common areas need maintenance and some love. The AC in our room did not work properly. They only give you one keycard, so the AC turns on when you come in to the room. Not ideal after spending the day at the beach or in town."
