Black Desert House can comfortably accommodate up to four guests in two bedrooms, making it ideal for couples or friends. Both bedrooms include king-size beds, and they both offer direct access to the pool and patio.



The two bathrooms feature dual sinks and walk-in showers. One bathroom is en-suite in the primary bedroom and includes access to an outdoor shower; the other is accessible from the hall.

The sleek kitchen at Black Desert House has everything your inner chef desires, including high-end appliances and cabinets stocked with dishes and cookware. Like the rest of the home, even the kitchen offers stunning views.



Dine in style underneath a unique chandelier; the table seats 6 with additional seating at the breakfast bar.

Prepare to be amazed by the one-of-a-kind living room, which features a breathtaking wall of windows that look out to the rocky landscape of the 440-acre private preserve abutting the home. Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. –Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.



–Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm.

** Cleaning Protocols ***

As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit.



Guest Access:

Guests enjoy full private access to the house and grounds.

Only registered guests permitted unless pre-approved.

this property offers boulder landscapes, junipers, and quiet seclusion—yet is minutes from Joshua Tree Village and Pioneertown.

Getting Around:

While we are off a paved road, many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.



Other Things to Note:

– Pool Heat: Included May & Sept; extra fee Oct–Apr ($200–$300 per night). Hot tub heats free.

– Pets: Dogs welcome ($100 fee · max 2). No other animals.

– Events/Photoshoots: Not permitted without approval & permits.

– Cell Service: Variable by carrier – enable Wi-Fi calling.

– Safety: No glass by pool, no running or diving. No lifeguard on duty.
