A great one night experience! Very original and nicely located hotel. Check in was great thanks to their magic! The room we were in was extremely hot with 3-4 fans at max power so noisy. One night at this hotel was perfect.

If you’re interested in being in the heart of York and its medieval streets, this hotel is perfect. There seemed to be no staff on site, so it’s more an airbnb experience, and we had no complaints about that. Very old, and very cool location.

Such a fun place to stay! We stayed in the librarium room which has a separate bunk room. This was great for three of us. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was updated and clean.

Really close to everything, we stayed on a Sunday night on the ground floor and there was no noise. Underfloor heating was a great surprise! only thing that we’d change is the “dress” in the room looked very old - perhaps if the costumes were newer we would have tried them on. However it did fit the theme! Lovely room for a short unique stay.

Hocus Pocus is a really fun, quirky themed place to stay. We were able to leave our bags prior to check in and the cleaning crew was super helpful with that. We really liked the central location with shopping and food around The Shambles. Room was clean and the fan was helpful when it felt a little stuffy. Overall, we had a great one night stay.

In centro città, a due passi dalla cattedrale. Locale eccentrico e affascinante. Non abbiamo mai incontrato i nostri host perché dal check in al check out è stato fatto tutto tramite codici (porta d’ingresso e camera).

We had a fantastic stay. The room had everything you could need for your stay. Decorated perfectly, and the whole experience from first opening the door left us appreciative of the effort put in. Thanks to Camelia, our stay was enhanced and supported and we can’t wait to return.

One of the coolest cutest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! This was a memorable experience. If you hesitate don’t be you will not regret. There are steep stairs (thinking my older parents would have a hard time navigating) but there are rooms on first floor. Great location the best beer across the street. Advice from someone who only spent 1 night - make sure you stay at least 2 nights!! So much to see and do!
